  1. ‚Ä¢ Hypopharynx. This is the lower part of the throat
  2.   (pharynx) where food goes just before we swallow it.
  3. ‚Ä¢ Larynx. The larynx (voice box) is in the front of
  4.   the neck in the region of the Adam's apple.
  5. ‚Ä¢ Metastatic squamous cell cancer to cervical (neck)
  6.   lymph nodes . If a cancer that is discovered in
  7.   lymph nodes in the upper part of the neck is
  8.   squamous cell (or epidermoid), it is usually a
  9.   metastasis from a head and neck cancer. Unless
  10.   some other primary source can be found (such as
  11.   lung cancer), this tumor is generally treated as a
  12.   head and neck cancer. It is important to know that
  13.   this type of metastatic cancer may be curable
  14.   (discussed later in the section) ( see also "Cancer of an Unknown Primary Site" ).
